History:

On Saturday 31 oktober a wish came true for the volunteers of ZLSM. From the harbour of Born the first diesellocomotive was brought to Simpelveld by lorry.

Metal trader Lommaert in Born had put aside the shunting dieselloco since several months and donated the engine of the type Köf II to ZLSM. The engine came to life at the first attempt to start it and a nameshield with the name 'Lommaert' was reveiled to conclude the deal.

The following moths, the locomotive became a thorough engineoverhaul and new cabinplating. After that the yellow locomotive was painted into the colours of ZLSM.

In the starting years, 'Lommaert' prooved good services at shunting and working along the track.
